Installing
Once the download is finished, double-click to launch the installer. If you use Safari, the installer may launch automatically.
Note: If you are installing on Catalina, you will need to perform an additional step to run the installer.
Walk through the steps to install Kindle Previewer onto your Mac. You’ll need administrator permissions in order to install into your Applications folder, so you may need to enter your password to continue.
After you’ve successfully installed Kindle Previewer, you can return to Vellum. Vellum should report that Kindle Previewer has been installed:
Press Continue to begin generating your books.

Installing on Catalina
If you are using macOS Catalina, then your Mac will warn you that the installer cannot be opened because Amazon hasn’t updated it:
To force your Mac to open the installer, hold down Control and click on the installer package in the Finder to show its context menu. Then, select the Open menu item.
Your Mac will display a similar warning dialog, but this time you will be able to press an Open button that will run the installer.
EPUB Option
If you are unable to install Kindle Previewer, or if you’d prefer to generate Kindle ebooks in the epub format, press the Use EPUB Format button in the Generation sheet. Vellum will write out ebook files in the epub format instead, without any conversion.
